YAMAHA CDR-1300 CD/HD Player/Recorder - SOLD.

This is truly a multi-functional component. It’s a stand alone CD player/recorder with an 80GB internal hard disk drive. It makes great CD copies, indistinguishable from the originals. CDs are copied by ripping a CD to the hard drive at 10X speed, then transferring data to a blank CD at 4X speed, for the equivalent of a 6X transfer. You can also use this unit as a CD player or CD transport, OR you can play music directly from the hard drive in lieu of a transport, since it has both digital and analog outputs. The 80G hard drive can store up to 100 full length CDs in a proprietary format using “lossless” compression scheme. Tracks can be inserted, deleted, assembled into “albums,” metadata can be added for front panel display. Used as a music server, playing back via the hard drive, provides for extremely high quality playback, very close to that of my $6000 digital front end. And finally, if you have mics and a mixer you can use this unit as a digital recorder for remote recording directly to the hard drive. The unit is in excellent condition with less than 30 hours use.
