A college grad present to myself last year, this is my first
"high end" system, though the Marantz CDP is
leftover from an old system. Will get around to dealing with
that later--I want a big upgrade on speakers first. Though the
106s are enjoyable and great for the price, I know I can hear
more from the Gyro and those amps.
The JJ 243 pre doesn't seem to be very well-known in the US,
but I have to say I'm very impressed with it. It's so smooth
and airy, with a very nice all tube phono section--I prefer it
to all the Conrad pres I auditioned. It's worth checking out
if you haven't!
