Home made Crossovers

Home Made 572 amps

"Each mono block uses 1 GZ 37 rectifier, a 6EA7 driver, and now the Svetlana 572-10 power output tube it has a Graphite plate with a plate dissipation rating of 125 watts I run around 65 I believe and the amp is running in class A2 for around 10 watts peak it has a 200 joule supply the output trans weighs in at 28 lbs and boy I thought I was taking a chance when I bought them but man they sound good"

Home Made EL84 amps

"It began as an 811 project from glass audio and me wanting a taste of Dennis Had's 211 sound that I heard at a demo at an early 1990's Chicago Audio Society meeting all I could think about was my god it had to be one of the most powerful sounding amplifiers I have ever heard! and absolutely huge so (the 845 replacement doesn't cut it for me like the 211 does) so over the course of a couple of yrs I got my project together! and over a couple more refined it holy cow for 50 cents the last mod got my neighbor to call me about the pictures moving on her walls!"

Home Made Phono

"I got the idea when I was reverse engineering a phono stage I thought what the heck are those! they were S. barrier diodes I put resistors back in place with bypass caps and as fast as I did that as fast as I put the diodes back in place with my mouth wide open! I never looked back holy cow they are as effective I believe as battery bias something that Arthure Loesch uses in his 417 by now your seeing that Classical designing is not my typical approach one of my friends once told me I don't go at anything unless my hair is on fire! so the phono uses 3 gain stages with 6 6922's I'm sorry for the tech talk but this phono stage is no ordinary design and there is a lot more yet to it!"
